C beautifier for C++/QNX4

Is there a C beautifier that runs on QNX4 that is C++ aware?

I’ve inherited a project from a dozen different programmers that didn’t know
each other and did hard drugs while they were drinking and working on these
programs. I.E. there is no consistency whatsoever.

I downloaded ‘indent’ from the GNU site. It says it is not very C++

compatable. Does anyone know? I downloaded version 2.2.7.

Assuming that this will work for me, how do I turn it into a QNX4
executable?

So Bill, I guess you found some of my old code.

Actually I’m working again for a former employer. After I left they tried
about a dozen different people to take my place, each one a bigger idiot
than the one before.

It’s not just that they didn’t “get it” (understand the principals behind
modular programming using QNX) but since they didn’t get it they all decided
that it was necessary to redesign everything they got their hands on using
some whole new philosophy (monolithic) that is totally alien to QNX.

Beside not understanding QNX they never read my OTBS (“One True Brace
Style”) document that I left behind. It defined all of our coding
standards. Not that I’m saying that my standards are better than anyone
else’s (even though they are), but at least they were a standard.

I really want to hire some of these guys back again just so I can ball them
out and fire them.

I hope you’re charging them double to fix up what they messed up.

I did get a couple good chuckles out of this thread…sorry I can’t
help on the practical side, though.

I am unable to look at this man page. What can I use to convert it or where
can I get a readable copy?

Also, isn’t there supposed to be a config files somewhere to tell indent
what to do and how to do it?
