ARTICLE: Handling mount requests ...

Thomas,

Thanks for article (which was not even advertised).
It is not really topic of your article, but could you tell anything more
about the mysterious ‘remount’ feature? Does any of QNX resource
managers in fact handle it? Or is it totally up to us? I asked half a
dozen times already but question was consistently ignored. Would be nice
to have it documented with each resource manager…

The re-mount option was included for completeness and because we didn’t
want to exclude the ability for someone to write a resource manager which
used this feature.

Currently it is not in use by any of our managers, which would explain
why it isn’t documented with any of the managers. Mount is very much
like devctl() and manager specific and as time goes on we will update
each manager’s docs to better reflect how mount affects them.

I’ve been away so sorry about the late response.

Hi,

Could you please read back and fix some errors in your article?
There are errors about argument order in resmgr_attach(), flag’s
names,…
Could you also discuss a little bit more about _MFLAG_OCB ?

Beside that, this functionnality is as easy to use as the others !! Good
work!!

Thanks,
Alain.
