I don’t know if this would qualify as an “article”, but could someone from
QSSL please explain exactly what happens to problems reported via the form
found at qdn.qnx.com/report/problem_report.html .
I have reported several bugs there and have never received any kind of
feedback - such as
- was it really a bug?
- has it been reported before?
- will it be fixed, if so in which release?
I understand that at some point in the future the known problem database
will be browsable. In the meantime, there is very little incentive to use
the bug reporting form as, as far as you can tell, it is just a black hole.
It is much more attractive to report on the newsgroups, even for a minor
issue, since you may at least get some kind of acknowledgement.
Couldn’t you at least email the originator of the problem report with a
brief statement like “your PR has been reproduced and accepted into the
system as PR#…” or “your PR has been previously reported as PR#…”?

We use the Gnats bug tracking system (http://bugs.qnx.com) but I don’t
believe we have any way for community people to submit to it. I know that
some places using this system allow limited access for browsing and
submitting. Perhaps someone here who knows better than I can talk about
what our plans are in this area…

feedback purposes only at this point. Notifications of bug report status
are provided to users with a valid QNX support contact. Inclusion of a
publicly-browsable bug reporting mechanism is being considered for future
iterations of the QNX developer site (qdn.qnx.com).
