Is this group intended to be RTP specific?

If so, should’n it be called ‘qdn.public.qnxrtp.ddk.graphics’?

Not really. It’s specific to the graphics DDK. The graphics DDK can target
drivers for QNX 4.xx/Photon 1.xx

A revival for this old thread.

As I wasn’t aware that the fix was there, I only tested it yesterday, but…
It doesnt work!
(patch dated 3r august).

The behaviour is the same as mentionned before. The systems hangs!

Please answer and help me, 16 colors is awfull and unusable!

Didier.

Apparently, the known issue has not been fixed in the patch available in the
developer site (this patch is dated 3rd august).

Hi Didier,

This is a different issue than those previously mentioned - it is a known
problem with the devg-chips_hiqv.so driver - a fix should be available in
an upcoming patch.

Regards,

Joe

Hi,

I have the same kind of trouble, except that after a safe mode the vga
4bit/color mode is working (but it is unusable)

after a crttrap clear the system boots like this :

Can’ locate PNP bios (No error)
Detected EIDE. Scanning for devices
Enumerator error : Can’t locate PNP bios (No error)
Running crttrap, please wait

/usr/photon/bin/devgt-iographics -dldevg-chips_hiqv.so -I0 -d0x102c,0X00c0
mode switcher init : Bad file descriptor
/usr/photon/bin/devgt-iographics -dldevg-vesabios.so -I0 -d0x102c,0X00c0

And that’s all the system hangs!
