GDDK under 6.1.0

Has anyone out there been working with the GDDK under 6.1.0 yet?

After having upgraded, I have noticed quite a few differences and
things missing.

For one thing, the documentation still seems to refer to V1.0 of the
DDK (RTP6.0).

Secondly, exactly where did the DDK end up?
It certainly didn’t seem to get installed in /usr/src on
my machine anymore.

I have found the files in /share/qnx/cvs_rep/qnx/hardware but
I am hoping there is a bit more too it than just a CVS dump.
There are also some scripts under usr/kits but they give nothing
but errors when executing them.

Also, what happened to the i810 chipset driver source?
It seems to have totally disappeared (although the Banshee/Voodoo
source now seems to have been included). Personally, I’d
have thought it would make more sense to include the i810/i815
drivers as the i815 series is at least still in production – and
the chipset documentation is freely downloadable from Intel.

Whats up?

as root, run ‘get-cvs-src’ … it’s a shell script.
you will see the ddks available.
then pass in the ddk-devg argument to get-cvs-src to check out
to a different path…

i81X is not in there… gui hardware group i’m sure will comment
on plans…

This was a packaging/release omission. It’ll show up next time round.

In the meantime, you can probably take the i810 sources from the
previous DDK and get them to build and run.
