newbie: SVGA or VESA driver

Hello everybody!

I just instaled QNX 6.1 and I have a question… Which driver is better to my
SIS 6326 video card ? Vesa or SVGA? The card has 2d and 3d acceleration
enhancements… Which will use them better? Which will use less memory (I
just hava 40Mb… under a pentium 166)?

Using VESA I can get 24 bit resolution… and under SVGA i get 16 bit…

hugs

As for performance, it depends on what you are doing. The svga driver
is faster for blits, but slower for everything else. Another drawback
of the svga driver is that it shadows the entire frame buffer in
system RAM, so this can be a problem if memory is scarce.
