Promiscuous multicast mode.

Hi,
I am using 3com 905b ethernet Nic (devn-el900.so).I am unable to set the
promiscuous multicast mode on this particular NIC.My other
drivers(devn-ns83815.so and devn-speedo.so) work fine with this feature.I
don’t know if this feature is supported by the hardware or the driver.Did
anybody else faced this problem ?

I don’t know what version of the software you are using, but when I set
promiscuous mode on my el900 adapter, I receive all packets.

Hugh,
I am not refering to the generic promiscous mode of the NIC.I am
referring to the multi-cast promiscous mode where the NIC Is programmed to
receive a particular group of Multicast addresses.It can also be made to
upload all the Multicat packets(only Multicat promiscous).This is a feature
required by a multicast router.
