I am new to QNX and I am experimenting with the remote execution and
debugging feature in the Momentics suite. I understand that both Qconn and
pdebug must be running on the remote host in order to make contact with the
system. The target is simply a standard PC running QNX and I want to run
programs that I have written on my Windows machine. How do I start Qconn and
Pdebug? (i.e. (i)Where exactly can they be found? (ii) Do they have to be
included at start-up or can I simply start qconn/pdebug in the background
when the machine is already running?)
To debug using the IDE you only need qconn running on the target,
it will start pdebug automatically. You can start qconn after the
system is up and running, it’s located in /usr/sbin.
pdebug only has to be started manually if you are debugging from
the commandline using gdb.
