alsa-qnx-0.5.? which was base version?

I’ve just downloaded the alsa-qnx-0.5 sources from the free software
section to look at ES1371/5880 problems. Now I’m wondering whether the
base was alsa-0.5.0 or something more recent? I’m also interested in
porting the ALS4000 code from alsa-0.5.10, and so I’m wondering if this
is a really tough job, or maybe not _too_difficult, in general, based on
past experience. Any hints from those in the know?

Thanks - Phil Olynyk

Hi Phil,

The closest version is ALSA 0.5.2, and the differences btw it and
ALSA 0.5.10 are substantial. Obviously, you are free to make the
attempt to back port the ALS4000 code, if you want to. If you can
wait, we are planning to release an Audio DDK beta as soon as we
can that is based on a completely different code base than the
current deva-* drivers. The external APIs are completely compatible,
but the internals are structured to simplify adding support for
new hardware. It is still in flux, so I can’t give any details, but
it is definitely different from the GPL drivers.
