IDE diff'ing MS-Word files

I love the graphical diff of the IDE. Is there any way to use it to
diff MS-Word files?

Is any other tool available for diffing Word file that can eb
incorporated into the IDE?

You would need something that could read the .doc file format and doing
a logical diff on the data. I doubt it will do anything usefull as it is
now since .doc files are binary memory dumps.

So you mean to say that Word itself can’t do diffs ? What exactly did M$ have those 5000 developers doing ?
