There is cdspeed program by ASUStek in win32. Does anyone know about
something like it in qnx? Appropriate links to open source in linux?

In linux there’s program called setcd. I assume it’s just doing some
ioctl, which means you have to read linux kernel sources,
drivers/ide/ide-cd.c might be good place to start.
