QNX6 on GBA??

I understand that the GameBoy Advanced has a ARM processor. Any chance
of a port?

for an article on using the GB as a terminal. For $70, the price is
certainly right.

Looks like the gatesboy cartridge that they’re using won’t give you access
to the arm processor. On a GBA it only runs in the GB emulation mode.
Perhaps if this gatesboy company redoes their cartridge to actually work
with the arm, then it might become viable. I’d be pretty interested in
seeing it. Maybe some other company will provide another interface. The
only other alternative would be to get blank GBA cartridges to burn images
on.

cheers,

Not a chance.

ARM has a long history and has not changed the name of the CPU. Much like
QNX will not run on an 8086, neither will QNX run on an ARM without an MMU.

Why wouldn’t it?
I thought the GBA used a 32 bit ARM implementation?
I’ve seen flash roms that the homebrew groups have been using to program the
GBA in GBA mode.
Just asking…

It is both a thumb and the standard ARM instruction set. However, the standard
ARM instruction set does not imply an MMU. The MMU in the ARM series of CPUs
is done via the co-processor interface. The CPU in the GBA does not have
an MMU co-pro.
