Hi everybody,
I have a newbee question about the use of samba:
After installing and configuring samba 2.2.3 I’m experiencing problems
browsing directories from windows clients.
If I run testparm I get this message:
WARNING /opt/var/samba/locks permissions should be 0755. If I try then chmod
0755 or 755 on the directory …/locks, but Neutrino says that the operation
is not supported.
I have no clue on how to solve the problem. Is anybody experiencing the same
?
Thanks a lot for any suggestion,
Andrea Borsic.
I guess fs-pkg still does not support chmod operation. You can do it ‘under
its feet’, use pkgctl /opt/var/samba/locks to figure where ‘real’ one is
stored and do chmod command there… Anyway, that would be a bug in Samba
package for QNX.
