QNX ignores default route

Hello

We moved our QNX System from one Network to another and now QNX ingores
the default route. Ping to a computer inside the local net works, but
everything outside the gateway is noch reachable. “route -n show” shows
the right defaultroute. I also booted knoppix and everything works fine
there. I double checked all IPs more than one time.

Also QNX initialises the en0 (a SIS 630e Card) device with a MAC Address
of 00:00:00:00:00:00. Is there any way to change this? because i get an
error log entry in my router everytime. Again under knoppix everything
looks all right.

thanks allot

Just did some further testings with another switch (Alied Telesys). The
Problem seems to be that QNX initialises the en0 with a zero MAC
Address. Can aynone explain this? Under LInux the MAC Address ist OK

thanks

Can you ping the default gateway? Does the default
route’s ‘Use’ count go up as reported by ‘netstat -rn’
when you try to ping another network? If so, the route
is working fine.

The fact that the mac address is all zeros may suggest
the card isn’t being detected properly.
