Transferring files to iPaq with qcp

I am very new to QNX. I have an iPaq (3635) and decided to give a try
to running QNX on it. The install went basically very easy, exactly as
given in the QNX on iPaq instructions, and it seems to work fine. But
once up and running, I have not been able to figure out how to
transfer files to it. I am trying to do this over the serial link from
a desktop machine, since I don’t have a network card for the iPaq, and
am therefore trying to use qcp (since I don’t see anything else to
use).

I have a desktop multi boot system, including QNX. Booting into QNX, I
open a terminal (is there any way to get scrollbars?) and type “qtalk
-b115200” and it immediately connects to the iPaq. I can run commands
on the iPaq over the serial link just fine.

Then the procedure I try for transferring a file is basically this:
iPaq> qcp re
a
Command(?): s
Send file(s)? ps
QCP Send:
Sending ps

It sits there for a couple seconds, like it is really doing something,
but then always follows up with:

  • Send failed
    Returning to interactive mode.
    iPaq>

And the file is not transferred. Any idea what I might be doing wrong.

I also tried booting Win2K and using hyperterminal. Again, I can
connect to the iPaq, but was unable to figure out how to get a file
transfer to work.

Any clues would be appreciated.

Use rz/sz. Works out much better.
