no qnxinstall

Help - I have just used qnxinstall to install a tk package
(tk-8.3.2-x86-mritun.qpr), and after installing, found that my
/usr/photon/bin/qnxinstall nolonger existed. Why? How do I get it back?
Infact, my /usr/photon/bin directory no longer exists. Does this mean
my qnx is now useless?
And now it’s just got rid of my sidepanels too…
Does this mean I will need to reinstall qnx?

Thanks.

Sorry, the culprit file was actually:
tcl-8.3.2-x86-mritun.qpr

For more infromation, could you post these files:
/etc/system/package/session.log
/etc/system/package/packages
/etc/system/package/packages.1

If your system is still messed up, try copying one of the backups
(packages.[12345]) like this:
cp /etc/system/package/packages.1 /etc/system/package/packages
usr/sbin/pkgctl -l /dev/pkginfo*

Ah, I also appear to have lost less, more, emacs, jed, …
Also, /usr/sbin/ directory no longer exists now.

If your system is still messed up, try copying one of the backups
(packages.[12345]) like this:
cp /etc/system/package/packages.1 /etc/system/package/packages
usr/sbin/pkgctl -l /dev/pkginfo*
/usr/sbin/ directory no longer exists now.

(1) It’s probably the “backdrops” package that is causing you the most
trouble, though as the log shows you, many of the packages you are
installing have a number of problems, themselves.
(2) You can access pkgctl like this, then:
/pkgs/base/qnx/os/core-2.1.3/x86/usr/sbin/pkgctl -l /dev/pkginfo*

Jerry

Great thanks - that seems to have almost fixed it - I’m still short of
at least 1 library (libXpm.so.4) which I previously had, but I’m sure I
can find that somewhere…
I even have my shelfs back!
Cheers.

Actually, no, I haven’t been able to find libXpm.so.4. I also need
libXaw.so.7 - where can I get these?

Also, does anyone know where I can get a version of Python from which
has Tkinter? I’ve installed many numerous versions, but none do…
Thanks.
