can't run network

Hi,

I have D-Link DFE538TX network card, which i’m trying to
make work in 6.2 like

io-net -d via-rhino vid=0x1186,did=0x1300 -p tcpip

after this the ping returns fine from the address i assigded
to the card but does not go through to the local network.

under windows everything is fine

suggestions?

I changed the card for a tulip clone, now it is recognized automatically
but the problem persists. When I try to ping the local network it says
something like “host is down”. again, there is no problem with windows
any help?

Did you give the interface an ip address?

Did you give the interface an ip address?
