Basic user documentation

Any pointers to basic documentation for using QNX 6.2 from a user
perspective? Also basic sys admin stuff also (like adding a user).

Thanks,
Steve

We’re working on a Neutrino User’s Guide, and we hope it will be ready for
6.3. In the meantime, you can look at the System Administration Guide for
6.1, which you’ll find at:

http://www.qnx.com/developer/docs/qnx_6.1_docs/sysadmin/index.html

It’s somewhat out-of-date and is incomplete, but it might help you. (This
book is the basis for the new User’s Guide.)

I hope this helps. If you have any questions, please post them in one of
these groups. I’m watching them for good stuff to include in the new book.

Yes, I had seen that a while ago but only recently took a closer look at it
again. It did answer enough of my initial questions.

Any chance that you can leave a copy of the new users guide where the
SysAdmin guide is - also as a known work in progress? I thought that the
SysAdmin guides open questions (as listed by the author) were still helpful
and prompted me to make a list of questions/comments for the author.

Steve, are you the author of either guides?

Thanks and regards,
Steve

The author of the Sys Admin guide is (sadly) on long-term disability.

Various writers, developers, and tech-support people are generating the
content for the new User’s Guide. I’ll be involved in editing it. We’ll
consider posting a work-in-progress version – many people have found the
Sys Admin guide useful.

Thanks for the feedback.
