How to make QNX2 recovery floppy disk?

I have two same QNX2 systems base on Compaq PCs(both whith 1.44 FD and 6150
tape driver), these days one of the hard disk has damaged, so I need
reinstall a new system to new harddisk then restore tapebackup to new HD. My
proble is I haven’t boot disk, how can I make a new recovery floppy disk
from another PC?

I would put the new hard drive on the working QNX2 system and build
the new drive from the existing drive. Then put that drive into the
other system and do a tape restore.

It’s been so long since I’ve worked with QNX2 I can’t tell you the
exact steps to do the copy. I’m sure if you need help with that
someone else can help

Remember to deal with things like master/slave jumpers on the drive.

Somewhere in the old QUICS system there was a boot.2.21 file that was an
image of the QNX2 boot disk. I think I have it somewhere. You can copy that
file to a diskette (not using DOS or Windows, perhaps a “cp boot.2.21
/dev/fd0” under QNX4) and that should do it.

Regards,
