Hardware support

Hello all,
I currently have two boxes, one is a AMD K62 400 mhz 200 mb 40 gb hd,
the other is AN AMD Athlon XP 1900+ 256 mb 30 gb hd.

My problem is when running QNX on the 400 mhz box my usb msmouse with
intelieye doesn’t show up is there support for this mouse?
The AMD AthlonXP box is my main dev box so it has better hardware.
Ati All in Wonder Radeon 32 mb DDR, Nec Multisync FE950+ flat screen
monitor,
Logitech led mouse with scroll wheel, intel usb wireless keyboard, DLynk usb
4 port hub.
The wireless keyboard doesn’t work at all, Intel has discontinued their line
of wireless prepherals so unless some one has written a driver I will have
to do it myself, but the drivers for the radeon are not very good in terms
of screen refresh rates, the only way I could get it to work properly was to
use the vesa modes which are at 1024x768 @ 60 hz. Is there a way to fix
this?

Paul

Forgot to mention I have QNX620NC and my motherboard is an Asus A7V333 with
4 usb 2.0 but they are backwardly compatible with 1.1 AGP 4X.

Hi Paul,

What version of the OS are you running?
If you are running 6.1 you will have to start devu-uhci or devu-ohci
(depending on your usb controller) and then start devu-mouse.
This will create a /dev/usbmouse0 entry. You will then have to create a
Input.hostname file so that when photon starts devi-hirun is started with
the proper options for usb. (See devi-hirun and inputtrap in the
Helpviewer).

If your are using 6.2 then the enumerators will automatically start the devu
drivers and all you have to do is create you Input.hostname file.

As for the Radeon graphics driver…try the latest experimental driver from
http://developers.qnx.com, this should give you better performance.

Regards,

Joe
