trying to multibooting qnx 6.2 on high point 370 raid 0

I’m trying to set up a tri boot system with winxp, debian, and qnx 6.2.
I have an onboard highpoint 370 hard drive controller with RAID support
[which is listed as a supported device on the qnx official website]. I
have a raid 0 array set up using two ibm 40 gig hard drives. winxp and
debian install fine, and i can boot into either using lilo. However, qnx
seems to get confused by the raid. I have a 15gb primary partition for
qnx to be installed on, however immediately after beginning install [in
verbose mode] it lists my optical drives and my hard drives, followed by
'Executing /qnxbase/safe-config/x86/bin/dinit -hq /dev/hd0t79
DINIT: can’t open drive ‘/dev/hd0t79’: No such file or directory
/qnxbase/safe-config/x86/bin/dinit -hq /dev/hd0t79 : failed (8196 256)

Partition install aborted!’

any ideas whats going wrong and what i could do to get qnx installed?
thanks

The device is support but not in RAID mode.
