Hi Joe,
Here is the output of pin after ‘devp-pccard -l8,8 ss -m &’ :
Sock Func Type Flags PID
Base Size IRQ
1 0 Network C—I-±-------- None
0x200
64 8
1 Empty ----MF---------- None
2 Empty ----MF---------- None
2 Empty ----MF---------- None
The system does not reboot anymore since I use a stronger power supply (I
guess the wireless card needs a lot of current on startup), but the system
freezes dead when I start the orinoco wireless driver with the command:
‘io-net -d orinoco -p ttcpip’
Thanks
Bernard

Hi Bernard,
Try the following:
devp-pccard -l8,8 ss -m &
Can you post the output from ‘pin’ after you run the above command.
Note: Make sure devp-pccard is not already running on the system.
Regards,
Joe

I finally managed to start the devp-pccard server, by forcing the irq
of
my
PCMCIA adapter to 10. But when I start io-net, the computer just
reboots…
Could this mean a irq conflict?
Thanks again

Hi Bernard,
What PC-Card controller do you have on your system? Can you post
the
output
from “pci -vvv”?
Check the slogger log for error messages via the sloginfo utility.
Regards,
Joe
Good thing that you mentionned the sloginfo utility, it didn’t knew
about
it! It says this:
“devp-pccard: No PCMCIA or CardBus Adapters found - exiting”
So it does not find my PCMCIA adpater, which is weird if you look at
the
output of pci -vvv, at the end of this message. The pci-vvv utility
does
return information about my Ricoh controller, and the built-in
self-test
seems OK. I posted only the data concerning my Ricoh PCMCIA
controller.
It
as two PCMCIA slots so pci -vvv returned two entries. What could
explain
that my controller is not found?
I have QNX Neutrino 6.1, and I just saw in the suported Hardware
section
of
the QNX web site that it supports QNX 6.0.0, could this be the
source
of
my
problem? What can I do then?
Thanks!
Bernard Biron
