QNX 6.2 seems to work on about half of recent Dell models.
On some, it works fine; on others, it won’t even run the
boot loader. There’s some low-level compatibility problem.
Try running the QNX 6.2 NC disk in CD-only mode; if that
runs, you’re probably OK. Make sure the network interface
comes up under QNX; some of Dell’s Etherner interfaces
aren’t supported.
