Does anyone know whether it is possible to install QNX 4.25 from a USB
floppy.
The PC BIOS supports USB Floppy BOOT.
It seems to start OK but after /bin/mount it hangs - Is this something to do
with QNX handling of
floppy drive ?
Am I doomed ?
Would this be a problem with a USB CDROM ?

I would expect that it is not possible.

Yup. We run Fsys.floppy in the image, then mount the floppy – this
tries to talk to a “traditional” floppy drive.

Yup.

Yup.
And, even after install no USB mass-storage device (drive) will be
supported.
For QNX4, you really need a traditional floppy drive, and an
IDE CD-ROM drive.
Hm…you might not need the floppy, it might boot from the CD-ROM
for install as well – but would still need to be an IDE CD-ROM
drive. (Well, some SCSI drives might work too… but that is usually
a less simple temporary addition to a system.)
