3Com 3C900-COMBO card not working

I decided to give the new QNX 6.2.1 Momentics Non-commercial download
edition a try. I’ve only had superficial look so far and I’ve been
tripped up by network problems. The card is a 3Com 3C900 which is
(apparently) supported, but not working in my case. I can configure en0
with a static IP and it appears superficially to be setup properly, but
there are no communications with my network. In fact, the Link OK light
on my hub does not come on. I can ping myself and that appears to work,
but of course, pinging one’s self does not actually go out on the
network. The nicinfo command shows something intersesting:

3Com (90x ) 10-BASE-T/100-BASE-TX Ethernet controller
Physical Node ID … 006097 052F07
Current Physical Node ID … 006097 052F07
Media Rate … 0 kb/s half-duplux UTP
MTU … 1514
Lan … 0
I/O Port Range … 0x6400 - 0x643F
Hardware Interrupt … 0xA
Promiscuous … Disabled
Multicast … Enabled

Which appears to be reasonable EXCEPT for that most intriguing media rate!

At various times, this machine has run Windows 2000 & various flavors of
Linux and the NIC has always worked fine. In fact, as a test, I put a
Knoppix CD in and booted up. Sure enough Knoppix Linux configured and
setup the NIC just fine.

I’m a nearly complete tyro with QNX, so I’m not sure how to proceed and
hope someone will suggest something helpful.

Many thanks for any help you can give.
