How do I install the centronics printer?
I installed QNX6.2.1 NC without any problems.
When I want to print using the editor , there
is no way to select a printer. I can print to file.
-How to install a simple centronics printer?
-Where do I find a QNX 6.21.USER’S manual
(not programming manual) on the web?

There’s an incomplete System Administration guide on our website at:
http://www.qnx.com/developer/docs/qnx_6.1_docs/sysadmin/index.html
It includes a chapter on printing that you might find useful. We’re
currently working on completing this manual; it’s becoming the Neutrino
User’s Guide, and will be included with 6.3. If you have any comments on
the existing doc, or suggestions for the new one, please post them in one
of the newsgroups.

At the lowest level (centronics) printing is done by devc-par. Is this
running? Try “pidin -pdevc-par”. This should cause there to appear a
/dev/par when you do a “ls /dev”
The next layer up depends on if your in photon of just printing from
text mode. In photon you’ll want the photon spooler running. Again,
try “pidin -p spooler”. If it is NOT running you can usually just
start it by running “spooler -d /dev/par”. It should autodetect what
kind of printer is actually connected. You can confirm this by running
“prjobs”. It should show your printer under “Printers”. If it does
not, then start checking out the Helpviewer pages under “spooler”.
You’ll have to start adding command line options to spooler.
