Finally got my flash filesystem up and running (AMD’s Am29DL640G 8MB)
after just too many days! So now I felt happy and should start
transferring files into it using qtalk/qcp, from the documentations it
should be that easy:
On my target system where I’am running the flash-filesystem and a ‘esh’
on top of /dev/ser1 i type ‘qcp RE *’. On the host I run qtalk, and hits
‘Ctrl-A’ - ‘S’ and type in the filename of the file to transfer:
qcp RE *
Command(?): s
Send files(s)? test.txt
QCP Send:
Sending test.txt - qcp: Unable to detect remote qcp.
Returning to interactive mode. (/dev/ser1)
< target manually re-restarted since qcp never seems to timeout, then
I try the other direction, transferring from target to host: >
qcp SE myfile
Ctrl-A…
Commands(?): r
QCP Receive:
Returning to interactive mode. (/dev/ser1)
qtalk: (read) Resource temporarily unavailable
(bjorn) $ (qtalk terminated)
Whats wrong? My serial connection is 19200bps 8N1, 3 wire (no
HW-flowcontrol). Is it the lack of HW-flowcontrol signal which cause
trouble? I’am running standard devs-8250 on the targe.
Do I have to use stty to set up the serialport/terminal into a special
mode before starting qcp or does anyone know?

I was asking about that very same problem in the qdn.public.qnxrtp.embedded
thread. I was told qcp had a bug and was going to be fixed in the next
patch. So… I tried downloading a copy of sz/rz and it was giving me
problems too.
Still looking for the answer…
Thanks,
