QNX and Other OS

Hi everyBody
I wuold like to know:
1- Is it possible to access QNX2.x files as RW in linux or other OS when the
hard is attached as slave to the system? if it’s possible how could i do
that?
(I tryied to mount the hard but linux7.3 did not support QNX2 it support
QNX4 instaed)
2- Is it possible to run the program written for QNX2.x
in a similar envirment like linux, sco unix or sola. ?

Thanks

The QNX2 file system is not overly complicated and once upon a time
was documented. You could conceivably write your own filesystem access
to read and write a QNX2 partition. It wouldn’t be a trivial job.

If you had access to a working QNX4 system, there was once a QNX2fsys
that would read and write QNX2 from QNX4. Is this just a one time
thing to copy off some data or do you want ongoing access? And if so,
why?

No.

NOTE: I am not a QSSL employee so my answer is not official. But I
don’t think your going to have a lot of luck on this one.

What Bill said is true. No QNX2 Fsys for Linux. QNX2 programs
won’t run under another OS. (Though, in theory, something like
bochs should be able to run QNX2, and QNX2’s memory footprint
is generally small enough that it could run fine in something like
bochs or vmware.)
