File sharing/Severing QNX->Windows...

We are looking to set up a fileserver for our software development group.
Our goals would be to:

Centralization of source code for Windows, Embedded (ie TI DSPs & 8/16/32bit
Micros), and QNX (PCs/32bit Micros) projects.
Implement some sort of revision control system compatable with Windows, QNX,
and SUN OS.
Automated backup/mirroring of projects.
Revision status db w/ web based reporting.

Could any body give me some ideas on what direction makes sense.

Thanks

We run a Perforce server for exactly this kind of requirement. We happen to
run our server on QNX4 but that is entirely optional.

They have clients and servers for QNX4 and 6, SUN and Windows (and many
others). I can’t recommend their product and support highly enough.

PS If you are looking for a “free” option then look at CVS.

We also run Perforce in a similar environment after migrating from CVS. We
would highly recommend it also. Among its other benefits, we found its
admin overhead very low.

And what are the other benifits (I’ve never used CVS)

CVS plays very well with the Momentics IDE if you are using the
Professional Edition (PE) of QNX.

Last time I looked there was an Eclipse plug-in for Perforce. From memory
it was not written in Java and compile only for Window platform.
