Customize Rhapsody MicroC for QNX and X86 target

Hello

I work in Embedded system, but I never used QNX and so I don’t know keywords
of the OS.
I want to customize, Rhapsody MicroC (I-logix) for QNX.
Is somebody have this already achieve this customisation ? Is there
difficult ?
And how many time, can I have a validated customization ?
Is somebody have some internet site to have some help ?

thanks.

What CPU does this board use?

Today, I’m in evaluating step, and I want to generate code in oder to test
this one on a computer, so the CPU is a Intel processor like Pentium.

Does it have a BIOS?

Yes I does. And I already made a bootable image for QNX with telnet session
embedded.
So I have to customize, Rhapsody to generate code. I need keywords to define
task, what kind data type exist, …, functions into messages process, …
Thanks

Hen? Is Rhapsody a software tool to generate code or it’s a PC compatible
platform. Cause your question doesn’t make sense to me: “keywords to define
task”???

Thanks

I know that Rhapsody is a UML tool that generates source; however I really
have no idea what the OP is referring to either…

It seemed pretty clear to me from the original message that Rhapsody
produced code
requires an adaptation layer in the same way that Rational Rose does to
handle
collaboration between objects.

To the best of my knowledge, nobody has ported the adaptation layer to QNX.
I believe, however, that it should be a straight-forward exercise. Its my
understanding
that Rhapsody provides the source code with the tool.

QNX does provide a port of the Rational Rose adaptation layer; it’s
available for
download from the account center.

We looked at Rhapsody a couple of years ago. Pretty good stuff. The
developers wanted to go with it, but our management wouldn’t. At that time
there was an adaption layer available for QNX 6. It wasn’t as mature as some
other platforms, but it was there. Have you (the original poster) contacted
I-Logix about QNX 6?

You have 2 different Rhapsody : One named Rhapsody UML for UML development
and another one named Micro C
for embedded development.

Thanks for your advice,
But today I-Logix haven’t the layer for QNX6, but they give a OS definition
tool to design,
that we need to generate optimized code for QNX.
And I’m not a specialist of QNX, so it’s difficult and so quiet long to do
for me.
