printing in phindows

hi all,

our client want to access application running on qnx system from
windows. for this we are going to use phindows. we have tried this
successfully.

now, the application which we run in qnx print some output on the
printer. we have printer attached to qnx machin as well as windows
machin.

Is it possible to get the print out on windows system side printer from
the application running in qnx system, accessed through phindows ?

thanks in advance

Phindows transfers the graphical object only, so there is no problem

to print out the screen (just press PrtSc to copy the screen to the
clipboard).

If you use Phindows via TCP/IP connection and your printer in the
Windows box is shared , there is no problem to configure a printer
server in the QNX box:

  • define the shared printer in /etc/printcap and in /etc/hosts
  • run lpd printer deamon
  • in spooler define entry points for remote printing using plr utility

For detailed information refer TCP/IP User’s Guide - Remote Printing
Utilities.
