Seagate tape lockup problem

I have a machine running QNX425G with an adaptec 29160N host adapter and
a Seagate TapeStore 20 GB

The controller and tape drive are found with no fuss by qnx.

I then backup a file using …
pax -wvt /dev/tpr0 /tmp/syslog

This step seems to work as adveritised.
It seems that any tape operation after this will hang.
tape rexind
tape status
pax -rvt /dev/tpr0

I have tride moving the host adapter pci slot, assigning irq’s
differently, all with no effect.

I have the syslog deamon running, but get no entries from the scsi adapter.

attached are the output from sin and “sin ir”
any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

Now that I’m looking at the sin output, it looks like Fsys.aha8scsi is
blocked waiting for a sem_post() that never arrived.

Does anyone have any idea how to fix this ?

John
