Compact Flash problem on x86 (very slow)

Hi,

QNX Neutrino 6.2.0 (devb-eide dated May 03 2002, 47252 bytes long) on x86.
PCMCIA controller working OK with Ethernet adapter (Dlink DE-660).

When testing, my CF card is the only PCMCIA peripheral inserted.
I’m starting the ide driver as follows (I/O and IRQ coming from “pin” - note
that IRQ 5 is free and works well with the DLink Ethernet adapter when in
use) :
devb-eide eide ioport=0x200,irq=5

Info about the CF is displayed almost instantaneously but /dev/hdX takes
long to appear (10+ seconds). I’m able to mount the partition then access
the files but it’s very very slow, sounds like an IRQ problem but it’s
not !

“sloginfo” gives me scary info:
Apr 22 12:47:30 2 5 0 scsi_interpret_sense: SK_ILLEGAL command 5a in
databyte
Apr 22 12:47:41 2 19 0 eide_timer: timeout path 0, device 0

Please note I tried several different CF parts and I have always the same
problem… It used to work on the same HW (PC and PC cards) under 6.1.0.

I cannot easily upgrade to patch A or B for a test…

What do you think ?

Thanks in advance,
Frenchy

Working now ! starting devb-eide as below solved my problem:
devb-eide eide ioport=0x200:0x20c,irq=5
