Gauging interest: sysadmin book?

Hi folks,

I’m looking to see how much interest there is in doing a QNX Neutrino
systems administration book. Currently, the one that QSSL has on the
web seems to keep disappearing. Plus, I’m sure a paper copy would be
much more welcome than webpages, especially when you are trying to get
a new system up and running

So, if you are interested, or have suggestions, please let me know.

Cheers,
-RK

6.3 has one and I think it’s pretty good.

So, if you are interested, or have suggestions, please let me know.

I think it’s a great idea. You always have your own slant on how to present
an issue. So I think there is plenty or room for both copies.

Also, since there are new resources to be taken advantage of each year, it
can easily become a book that warents a V2.

I - for one - would rather use a hardcopy of such a book.

Robert, if you decide to write the book, I will purchase a copy.

Hi Rob,

There are a lot of complains because of the missing documentation about
system administration.

So … I’m sure there will be busines with a sys admin book!

Regards

Armin

However from what I have heard, it won’t be in hard copy format unfortunatly…
its rather big.

Don’t take this as a final word. We do listen to what our customers
have to say, and we are looking at means to provide more printed
documentation options to our customers.

That being said, we aren’t prepared to make any formal announcements
regarding such plans at this time.
