CardBus?

Hi all together,

i am using QNX Ver 6.2.0(NC) on a x86-box and have awful problems
getting CardBus-things done.
“pci -v” reports the following:

[…]
Class = Bridge (CardBus)
Vendor ID = 104ch, Texas Instruments
Device ID = ac50h, PCI1410 PC card cardBus Controller
[…]

The problem i have is, when i insert a Compact-Flash into slot 1 or 2
and launch “devb-eide eide ioport=0x200,irq=7” i have terrible latencies
in accesing the flashcard (x>15sec).

Does anybody know what i can do?
Is an update of “devp-pccard”-server availbale out there which supports
this CardBus controller?

Regards,
Marc

Most probably a problem with interrupt. IRQ 7 sounds fishy it usually used

by the serial port.

Hi Mario,

thanks for your quick info.

I also used the “-a”, “-i” and “-l” options of “devp-pccard” but no change.

There is another controller-type on an other pc which has the same
behaviour.
“pci -vv”:
[…]
Class = Bridge (CardBus)
Vendor ID = 1180h, Communication Automation Corporation
Device ID = 478h, RLc478 CardBus Controller
[…]

So i do not get neutrino run correctly with these pcmcia-controllers (i
have no other ones :frowning: ).

Hope there is a solution out there for this problem!

Marc

Hello,

try this

“devb-eide eide ioport=0x200:0x20c,irq=7”

Hi Maurizio,

thanks a lot for your fast help.
It works!

Nothing more to say.

Hi Maurizio,

how do i have to call this command with “pccard-launch” to correctly set
the
“0x20c” in “devb-eide eide ioport=0x200:0x20c,irq=7”

e.g.:
pccard-launch “0x400,devb-eide eide ioport=$IOPORT:???,irq=$IRQ”

Marc
