[Voyager, Partitions] Voyager not connecting to Yahoo Mail,

I’ve recently installed QNX on a spare machine for my father to use,
just as a sort of stopgap between a full Linux distrobution and the
abomination of Windows, and I’ve been extremely happy with it so far
– even impressed. The small size and quick responsiveness is a
pleasure.

However, I’ve two issues that are showstoppers at the moment and one
less so:

  • Voyager is having issues dealing with Yahoo Mail and Hotmail;
both report I should upgrade to a recent Netscape or IE. Has anyone
had any luck getting Voyager to report itself as something
    acceptible to either site?

  • I’d really like to reinstall it after repartitioning the disk
entirely. Is there a graphic repartitioning tool that I can use on
the CD boot that’d let me wipe the partition table on the hd
entirely so QNX can have the whole thing?

Lastly:

  • As far as I can determine, there’s no telnetd or sshd started by
default on first install. Can this be changed?

Thanks in advance for assistance.

Why not use Firebird?

You can do it inside of QNX (either what you have no or live on the CD).
Just run “fdisk /dev/hd0” and delete all the partitions.

There is a telnetd, you just have to start inetd. You can do it from
/etc/rc.d/rc.local or by hand “inetd &”. You can also install sshd from
the 3rd Party Repository (fire up qnxinstall).

Er, mainly because I didn’t know that was an option. I didn’t see it
on a cursory skim through the available packages. I’ll give it a
longer, harder look tomorrow.

Groovy. I wasn’t sure fdisk was avail. (You can imagine me
scratching my head until I figured out passwd added users, not useradd
or adduser or … well, you get the idea.)

Indeed. Much appreciation radiates outward from here to you.

Indeed. I’m happy to report getting things installed on the server in
question, even as we speak. I appreciate the help immensely.
