i am attempting to get qnx neutrino up and running on my old toshiba 320ct
laptop (pentium 266, 64MB ram)
i’ve downloaded the cd image, burnt a cd and installed it to the hard disk
and everything seems to start and work properly except:
1/ my screen has an unusual resolution of 1024x600 and nothing i’ve tried
will make the os work at this resolution - i can get 800x600 and lose screen
space either side or 1024x768 and lose stuff at the bottom - any
suggestions?
2/ i have a pcmcia network card (3com 3CXE589dt) and the os doesn’t
recognise it? should it be able to be made to work or do i need to get a
different card? - i want to get a wifi card in there eventually - which one
shouls i go for ?

On Toshiba laptops you have to go into the BIOS setup and change the PCCard
setup to CardBus/16-bit. When you reboot, the 589 card should be recognized
and the driver started.

thanks hugh - that worked perfectly - it wasn’t able to make it see my dlink
650+ wifi card though but i’ll do a bit more searching.
