QNX 6.3.1 Enet Config Problem

Hi,

  1. I’m wondering if there is a known problem with QNX 6.3.1 NC that prevents
it from automatically recognizing my Realtek Ethernet controller. “en0” is
not listed when I execute “ifconfig -a”. I’ve installed QNX 6.2 on this SBC
and the installation asked me whether I wanted to install networking. QNX
6.2 recognized my Ethernet card and I was able to set the IP address using
the network utility in Photon. I was given no option in the 6.3.1
installation regarding the network. Interestingly, I can run the “pci”
utility and see the device. I’d appreciate any insights,
  2. I’m trying to startup the network manually. I executed:
    slay -f io-net
    io-net -d rtl did=0x8139,vid=0x10EC, verbose,-p tcpip
    I get the response:
    Vendor…0x10EC
    Device…0x8139
    Revision…0x0
    I/O port base…0xE800
    Interrupt…0xb
    MAC Address 000000 000000
I execute “netmanager”, but I still don’t see “en0” listed in response to
    ifconfig -a
I will be greatful for any one who can help me out. Thanks in advance,

Eric

QNX 6.2.1 has such an issue if you’ve not finished the installation.

PS: There is no QNX 6.3.1, yet.

Thanks for your help. I feel so stoopid!
