What are compatible drivers?

Hi folks,

I am currently confronted with a problem of certain devices not being
offically supported by QNX. For instance the HP NC1020 network adaptor. On
the HP website, they provide a large number of supported OS, including
Linux, OpenUnix 8 and Unixware 7. Are any of these drivers useable under
QNX or are easily adaptable?

Nice week-end chaps!!!

If you have to source code yes, but it won`t be easy.

As far as I know, there is no hardware company that provide
network|video|audio driver for QNX

You have to make do with QNX’s provided driver.

Nice week-end chaps!!!

Corman Technologies has fine networking products and they have their
own drivers for QNX.

That’s true for QNX4, they don’t provide driver for QNX6.

Even with QNX4, their PCI card works better with the QNX4 tulip driver.

IndeedThey have for QNX4, not for QNX6 I beleive. For QNX4 only their ISA
card

Hey Mario,
Sometimes this happens
check this one:

This is not about HP, just an example of some NIC driver from hardware
manufacturer (and I know nothing about quality of that driver).
