hi this is my question:
i have only a notebook with windows xp pro sp1a where i’ve installed the
momentics 6.2.1 version. i’ve worked with this version for about one year,
so i’ve a lot of project all around.
Now i need to install the new version of the ide 6.3 and i’ve read that
the two version can coexist.
have anyone already tried this? i have the need to give maintenance to the
already running project but i need also to implement the new one with the
new version.
Can i have the two version togheter on the same machine without any
problem?
thanks a lot to all
Andrea
Yes you can do this.
6.3.0 installs to a different directory path so your 6.2.1 install will be
intact.
There is a utility (QWinCfg) within 6.3.0 that allows you to switch your
environment between 6.3.0 and 6.2.1.
For more info see the “6.3.0 and 6.2.1 Compatibilty” section of our Docs:
http://www.qnx.com/developers/docs/6.3.0/momentics/compatibility/about.html#
Environment
Also check out the ‘QWinCfg’ utility doc:

Joe
