Is there some place where I can get “vedit” for QNX 6.3 and set it to be the
default editor in my application builder?

No. vedit is not available for any QNX 6 version. Which is a real
shame. I believe there was some friction between Ted Green and QSSL.
As far as I remember, there was no bad blood between us. They had moved on to other focuses (mainframe to PC conversion software based on vedit). Since he didn’t have a version of vedit compatible with qnx6 at the time of its launch, it never got included.
The last I spoke with Ted, he mentioned that he did have a version of vedit that was based on the the curses lib (which was working on SCO at the time) and that when he had a chance, he would do the port to qnx… but then again, that was almost four years ago.
