noteebok for QNX

I want to buy a notebook.
Could anybody recommend me a model at which video, network and modem are suported by QNX.
I need Centrino.

The only solution we have found (with some limitations) is to install
MS-Windows, then run QNX6 in Microsoft Virtual PC 2004. Virtual PC is
like VMWare, but it will run QNX6. If you are willing to stand a loss
of speed in QNX6 (up to 50%) and you don’t need access to all the ports
on the notebook, this could work for you. Networking works. Video
performance is nothing to write home about, but it is functional - you
need to use Flat mode, QNX6’s S3 driver does not work with Virtual PC’s
S3 emulation.

I have three laptops that are all capable of running QNX6. Mind you, all
three are no longer available and two of them required some special
tweeking to get them to run.

The system I prefer is my Dell Latitude. I don’t remember what I had to
do to get it to run, but I’m sure that was an extra step somewhere.

I would bring the QNX CD to a computer store and just try booting it in a
bunch of PCs. Don’t install QNX, just run from the CD.

Good luck.

Thank you in advance, but i can’t lost 50% of speed and i need to have access to the ports on the notebook.

Maybe somebody uses IBM thinkpad with QNX.

Thank you Bill.
I have tried run QNX on Dell Latitude D600, but network did’t work and video worked with vesa driver.
Unfortunately in my country there are no notebooks in stores. If i want to buy a notebook, i will choose a model then will waiting about month to get notebook Therefore i can’t try different models of notebooks before buy them.

There is a video driver available for VWware (QNX4/QNX6) and performace
is very nice.
