shell question

I have 2 QNX 6.2.1B systems, my desktop that I use most of the time,
and my laptop that I use when I have to. As far as I know they are
running the exact same QNX software.

Under my home directory I have a directory called TrackStar_Software.
I will often type “cd Tr” +[ +[ and on my desktop this will
type in for me “cd TrackStar_” and stops. I then type in “S” +[
+[ and it finishes with “oftware”.

I just discovered that if I try this on my laptop it complete the whole
directory name with “cd TrackStar_Software” after only the first
“cd Tr” +[ +[.

What is configured differently on these two systems?

How do I make my desktop behave the same as my laptop?

post the output of “ls -l” in the directory from both desktop and laptop
where you ran the “cd” command.

Blush

OK, Point taken.

I had a NON-directory in my home directory that also Started with Tr.
I assumed that it would magically know that I was doing a cd command
and only return directories with Tr, of which there was only one.

I renamed my other file and all works better now.

Thanks.
