Jay,
Thanks, here’s the output. Also , could you take a look at my posts in the
GUI group re: radeon and touchscreens. I have an order for QNX PE in with
our purchasing dept (quote # Q02408675 ) but it has not made it to Mike
Minter yet (our QNX sales rep). Meanwhile I’m still working on an eval lic.
he gave me and sure could use some help resolving those issues (and this
audio issue).
Those posts are titled:
Touchscreen on non-primary monitor
Radeon 9200SE - can’t get dual head working
Which Modern Radeon Cards Proven to Work in Dual Head mode?
There may even be fixes available already but I don’t have access to them
yet.
You can reach me at qnx@qrts.com (an account I set up for use in with these
qnx newsgroups so my normal work account won’t get spammed to death).
Thanks.
Nick

Nick,
The driver isn’t likely failing silently - check your sloginfo as it
will likely contain more information. Running io-audio with a few -v’s
will increase the debug output in the slog.
Please run the following commands and post the output:
slay -f io-audio
io-audio -vvvv -d i8x0
sloginfo -m7
Thanks,
-Jay.

According to the hardware list, this is supported …
Intel 82801EB 0x8086; 0x24D5 deva-ctrl-i8x0.so X86
QNX 6.3.0 detected it and tries to start it but fails (Invalid
argument). I
can try to start it manually (start io-audio first, then mount) and fail
like this…
mount -Tio-audio /lib/dll/deva-ctrl-i8x0.so &
[1] 1527848
mount: Can’t mount / (type io-audio)
mount: Possible reason: Invalid argument
Also if I just do “io-audio -d i8x0 &” it fails silently.
Thanks!
