I am attempting to use an ‘elo’ touchscreen, but the devi-elo driver is
complaining about
Error: found graphics region with no capabilities data
The task was started as devi-elo smartset -R fd -s -d/dev/ser1 abs
in a 6.3.0 SE environment.
Once started, a ‘touch’ takes about 2.5 seconds to be displayed.
Needless to say, this is not considered to be ‘appropriate’ behaviour.
Just for the hell of it and because I had one, I started the
devi-microtouch driver and it had the same complaint.
Any ideas ??

We experienced this error and were told that it was benign. Apparently it is
executing some redundant code. We had it fixed under our support contact
some months ago so it may have found its way into service pack 1 (released
Monday 24th Jan).

My experience of the touch screen drivers on two different PCs is that they
work OK. I would suspect the hardware. Hook up to the serial port with qtalk
and see if there is any delay in the appearance of the touch codes.
