PWM

Which file is PWM started at? And what option I need to set in order to
disable the ‘click to front’ option automatically when PWM starts? The
reason I need to know this is I have many production machines with Qnx that
I want to disable this option rather than doing it manually. I only see ‘-f’
which force ‘click to front’ in the HELP, and it says by default it disable
this option, that’s not what I seen here.

Hello Ran

The window manager is started in the ph script. However you do not need
to modify how it is started. There area couple of places that the
application will look for startup options. One place is in the
$HOME/.ph/wm/wm.cfg file. If you have multiple users using Photon, then
you may want to implement a standard wm.cfg file that they cannot change
( make it read only or something ). Make sure that click_font in the
wm.cfg file is set to 0. If there are no users on the system than pwm
will look in the directory /usr/photon/config/wm/ for the wm.cfg file.

Thanks,
Rodney

I see a pwm.cfg file hanging in /.photon/pwm/, its been modified everytime i
disable or enable this ‘click to front option’.
But i can’t open it since its a binary file, i’m using qnx.4.25, photon1.14.
is there a switch i can set for PHWMOPTS ?

Hello Ran

In that case make sure that click to front is turned off by using
pwmopts. Once you have a pwm.cfg file that does what you need it to do,
circulate it around to the different QNX nodes.

Rodney
