Hello:

I have an upcoming task to help move a large number of Photon screens
originally developed under QNX4 to QNX6. Is there a porting guidline
specifically for Photon and the app builder?

There isn’t a porting guide, but the Photon docs have a series of “What’s
new?” sections in their prefaces that might help you.

What about “QNX 4 to QNX Neutrino Migration Guide” which is in my set
of documents. I found it to be of tremendous help.

something Photon-specific.

Dean,
I did the same thing a couple of years ago. If your applications were
developed with PhAB, then just open the QNX 4 application with the QNX 6
version of PhAB. It will ask if you want an automatic conversion - I
answered yes - and then will open the application. Then its just a
question of checking the various widgets to see if they are reasonable.
I found that I had to make the fonts smaller in QNX 6 than in QNX 4.
