QNX4.25 and Samba 3.0.22 server problems

Hi, I am pretty new to the world of QNX and non-Windows systems in general. However, I would like to set up a Samba server on a QNX system so that I can share a printer connected to that machine with Windows machines in the room. Here is what I have done:

  1. Downloaded the latest Samba server (3.0.22) via ftp, gunzipped and untarred the file. It is now /Samba-3.0.22

  2. Ran ./configure, everything seemed to go OK.

  3. Tried to run make. However, the build gets stuck at Building /include/proto.h. I even let it run overnight, and nothing.

I know this is really general, but any ideas what might be going wrong or where I can start troubleshooting?

If that’s for QNX4 I beleive port samba 3.0.22 is a major undertaking. There is version 2. something avaible, already build. Look it up.

I have looked for binaries but haven’t found any. If you know of any sites that offer them offhand, that would be great. Otherwise, I will continue googling.
