I have just upgraded my O/S from 6.25D to 6.25E and 6.25G. But I am not sure
why I can’t login after the upgrade. Can anyone tell me why and how to fix
the problem? Thanks.
Most probably you’ve installed the Security patch when the version was
4.25E and you did not uninstall it just before the upgrade.
You should uninstall the Security patch, install the 4.25G update and only
then re-install the Security patch.

I am not sure about that, because I just downloaded the E and G patches from
the website and installed them. I don’t see any Security patch at. Unless it
is included in one of the patches. Anyway, could I uninstall the patches?
What is the best solution to fix the password without having to reinstall
the whole things again? Thanks.

Phinstall should show you what’s installed.
If you’ve downloaded qnx-4.25-08.tarx (this is where the Security patch
comes from) and installed it BEFORE qnx-4.25-01E.tarx and
qnx-4.25-01G.tarx - you’ve done it wrong.
Do you have many accounts in the user database? If not - just re-apply
qnx-4.25-08.tarx and re-change their’s passwords.
