QNX4 Installation on a Laptop

We are trying to put QNX 4.25 (Product Suite May 2001) on a laptop (Toshiba
Tecra 8100).
The installation is stuck during the hardware devices scan, when the
installation program looks for PCI devices. Next, we tried to select the
diagnostic mode during boot. In this case, we got the menu of possible
hardware devices to look for. This time the installation got stuck when we
highlighted the “Intel 82365sl Pcmcia” option.

Try going into the bios setup and changing the PCCard adapter to
“CardBus/16-bit”.

Hi Hugh,
Yes, we had a problem. I’m not sure where it stands at this point; is there
a partition size limitation in QNX 4.25 ?.
